Ken Hermer is President of Journeys in Style, and is a well-know South African travel industry personality having started his own sales representation company in San Diego in January 2002. Ken grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and lived there until 2001. He was voted Personality of the Year in 2000 by SATSA (Southern Africa Tourism Services Association).

Ken has held senior sales and marketing management positions with a few high-end South African private game reserves since 1984. He has specialized in the photographic wildlife safari sector of the tracel industry since then and has represented these companies all over the globe at various international travel shows since 1985. The safari companies with whom he worked are Sabi Sabi, Wilderness Safaris, CCAfrica now called &Beyond and most recently prior to his move to the United States, Singita Private Game Reserve and Singita Lebombo.

Ken travels extensively within North America helping to educate the travel trade who are keen to sell Southern and East Africa to their client-base. When he is not traveling locally he can be found returning to his Southern African roots on an annual basis, constantly learning about new developments within that travel scene and keeping himself updated regarding fresh developments.
